Level of Expertise

A consultant’s experience can vary from one category to another. To indicate the level of expertise, there are two levels defined as below. Use these definitions to mark the expertise level for each of the Technical Area Category.

        Some Work Experience  :  1 or more consultancies/employments in less than 3 SEAP countries; Example: Malaysian worked 2 assignments in Thailand and Myanmar; OR Malaysian worked 5 assignments in Thailand only.

        Main Expertise Area  :  At least 3 consultancies/employments in 3 different SEAP countries; Example: Malaysian worked 3 assignments in Thailand, Myanmar, and China.

 

Multiple Expertises.

A consultant’s expertise can be on multiple Technical Areas. Follow the steps below to capture multiple Technical Expertise

  1. Choose the Main Category. Click on the dropdown menu to select from the list of main categories and select the one that you want capture.
  2. Choose the Sub Category. After selecting the Main category, click on the dropdown menu “Sub Category”. The corresponding sub categories under the selected Main Category will be shown as the possible options; select the appropriate sub-categry.
  3. Choose the level of expertise for the selected category of technical expertise. Click on either the “Main Expertise Area” Radio button or “Some Work Experience” radio button.
  4. Click the button [Add].
  5. Since Consultant may have expertise on multiple Technical Areas, repeat the above steps to capture multiple Technical Expertise Areas.

 

After adding a technical expertise,

1.  To delete an added expertise click on the corresponding DELETE button with the trash picture . After confirming the deletion, do not forget the SAVE the changes in the main screen.

2.  To make changes to the added expertise, click on the corresponding EDIT button with the picture  . The selected expertise category will be available in the pull down menu; make the necessary changes and do not forget the click the button [ADD]. The changes will be saved in the database only when you SAVE in the main screen.
